Fig and Almonds Cake Bonvallis Bonvallis Spanish Fig Cake, also known as Pan de Higo is produced in the mountains of Spain's Alicante region by a family recipe passed down from generation to generation over 200 years. This singularly delicious handmade all-natural “cake” actually contains neither flour nor preservatives or artificial ingredients. Artisan-made, using only the highest quality ingrendients, it is a traditional combination of almonds hand-pressed between layers of whole dried figs with a hint of anise. The figs are harvested on the month of September-October and dried in a cool, Mediterranean atmosphere where they slowly dried. These figs are healthy fruits with a noticeable amount of fibre and energy and abundant minerals such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium.
